Physician HealthCare Network Pediatric Care
What We Do
A healthy child is a happy child. At Physician HealthCare Network Pediatric Care, we are honored that so many
families from Port Huron and across St. Clair and Macomb counties place the health care needs of their children and adolescents with us.

We have pediatric specialists on staff at our Fort Gratiot and Macomb offices, where we provide a wide range of pediatric care, including:
  • Annual well-child visits from birth through age 18
  • Immunizations for children throughout their childhood and school years when they are most vulnerable to easily transmitted diseases.
  • Well baby care and well child care, stressing prevention of disease, nutrition, safety, and parenting. Physical and psychological growth and development, school readiness. Hearing and vision are assessed.
  • Care for many sudden infant and childhood illnesses, from simple colds to more serious problems.
  • Infant care, including care of the ill newborn and premature infant.
  • Adolescent health care, both physical and psychological. Female providers are available to help those teenage girls with gynecological problems, who may feel more comfortable in seeing a woman.
  • Allergy care, including asthma, hay fever, food allergies, etc. Pulmonary function studies and tympanograms are available.
  • Care for other organ-system illnesses, including kidney disease and management of diabetes and growth problems, heart murmurs and congenital heart disease, seizures and neurology problems, delayed development, and related issues.
  • Assessment and care of children with special needs, including children with learning disabilities, hyperactivity and school problems. We work as part of the "team" involving education professionals and other support services.
  • Management of psychological problems.
  • Emergency care for injuries, burns, and other emergent needs.
  • Each of our pediatric locations has family practice physicians on site to assist with more serious medical concerns.
  • Additionally, we work closely with other pediatric specialists at Children's Hospital in Detroit, Mott Children's Hospital at the University of Michigan, St. John Hospital, and other specialists in our area. We readily involve them when a child's condition warrants their help, or if a parent wishes another opinion and consultation.
To see a pediatric care specialist at our Fort Gratiot or Macomb location, it is recommended that an appointment be made. Walk-ins are welcome at our walk-in clinics, but walk-in patients may not see a pediatric care specialist. If you are unable to keep a previously scheduled appointment, please notify the office 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.  Weekend and evening appointments are available for the convenience of the working parent. We will gladly see more than one child at a visit if the proper time is pre-arranged. The usual fee schedule will prevail for each child seen.
Telephone Consultations
When calling the office, give your child's name and as much information about the problem as possible. If our trained office staff are unable to answer your questions, the provider will return your call. Have a pencil and paper available to write down instructions given. The phone should be used for brief discussion only. Please make an office appointment for discussion of complicated problems.
After-Hours Calls
After-hours calls are for emergencies only. Prescription refills and discussion of minor problems should be handled during regular office hours.
