Many children in our community struggle with dyslexia. It is one of the most common learning disabilities, noted by educators and diagnosed by physicians.
One of our very own family physicians, John Colombo, M.D., struggled with dyslexia as a child, and so when he discovers patients who suffer from this issue, his heart goes out to them in a special way.
Most people with dyslexia have difficulty reading and writing.
Help is available, but it can be expensive. Please join us in raising funds to help children in our community obtain the resources and support they need to be successful in the classroom and all of their educational endeavors.
Physician HealthCare Network has established a fund with the Community Foundation of St. Clair County so we can raise funds to help youth in our community who need assistance overcoming dyslexia. Dyslexia is a medical condition that greatly impacts a child’s ability to read and learn effectively. Education is the key to opening doors throughout our lives. Won’t you please help children in our community receive the help needed to ensure educational -- and lifelong -- success? Plan now to attend our First-Ever “Black Tie Optional” Casino Night Fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 12 at Solitude Links Golf Course and Banquet Center. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be available throughout the evening.
All are welcome to attend. Tickets are just $75 and include the first $100 of starter gaming dollars. Additional gaming dollars can be purchased at the event.
